Analysis of the most promising government procurement markets for Turkish businesses, based on contract volume, accessibility, and growth potential.

Methodology

We analyzed over 50,000 tenders across 40 countries to identify the best procurement markets for Turkish companies. Factors considered include contract value, competition level, geographic proximity, trade agreements, and historical success rates.

1. Germany - EUR 18.5B Annual Procurement

Germany is the largest procurement market in the EU. Turkish companies have a strong track record in construction, automotive parts, and textiles. The key portal is TED, with additional opportunities on bund.de.

2. United Kingdom - GBP 14.2B Annual Procurement

Post-Brexit, the UK has its own procurement system (Find a Tender). Turkish companies benefit from the UK-Turkey Free Trade Agreement signed in 2020.

3. Iraq - USD 8.7B Annual Procurement

Geographic proximity and cultural ties make Iraq a natural market. Construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors dominate.

4. Saudi Arabia - USD 12.3B Annual Procurement

Vision 2030 is driving massive infrastructure investment. Turkish construction companies are well-positioned for mega-projects.

5. Libya - USD 3.1B Annual Procurement

Reconstruction efforts create significant opportunities, particularly in construction and infrastructure.

6-10: Azerbaijan, Qatar, Netherlands, Romania, Poland

Each of these markets offers specific advantages for Turkish exporters, from cultural proximity (Azerbaijan) to EU market access (Romania, Poland) to high-value projects (Qatar).
